Political bigwigs reach polling booths to cast their votes

Voters are voting on Wednesday to decide the fate of BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi as well as chief of the ruling coalition Sonia Gandhi, in a crucial stage of the nine-phased general election. Security and election officials were deployed at thousands of polling booths to ensure a smooth day of polling. In the western state of Gujarat, home of BJP’s PM candidate Narendra Modi, the BJP is going all out to ensure a comprehensive win for its leader. Meanwhile, another interesting contest is brewing up in Punjab, where Arun Jaitley is fighting against Capt Amrinder Singh.
