After some protestors’ hoisted a religious flag at the iconic Red Fort on 72nd Republic Day triggering outrage across the country during farmers’ protest, a video of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, hoisting a BJP flag and singing the national anthem is doing the rounds on the internet.
The caption of the post read, ‘भाजपा के मुख्यमंत्री म प्र शिवराज सिंह चौहान ने गणतंत्र दिवस पर राष्ट्रीय झंडे की जगह भाजपा के झंडे को फहराया और राष्ट्रगीत गाया, इससे अपमान नहीं हुआ, लाल किले में किसानों ने अपना झंडा लगा दिया तो राष्ट्रीय झंडे का अपमान हो गया ।’
(Translation- BJP Chief Minister from MP, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, hoisted the BJP flag instead of the national flag on Republic Day and sang the national anthem, it did not come as an insult, but when the farmers put up their flag in the Red Fort, then the national flag was insulted)

The tweet stated that Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan recited the National Anthem after hoisting BJP flag at the ‘Chalo Panchayat’ campaign program at Khajua village near Khajuraho.
With this information, we ran a Google search with relevant keywords found an article by The Free Press Journal dated May 15, 2018.
As per the article, the incident happened on May 14, 2018, during an event of ‘Panchayat Chalo’ Abhiyan in Bhopal.

We further found that on the 72nd Republic Day, Chouhan hoisted the Indian Flag at Rewa in Madhya Pradesh.
