A post is being shared on Facebook with a claim that the pass percentage in board exams has been changed from 33% to 23% from 2021.

The Facebook caption read: 2021 बोर्ड परीक्षा अब पास होने के लिए 33% नहीं 23% चाहियें। सरकार का बड़ा एलान।

(Translation: To pass board exams in 2021 you just need 23% instead of 33%. Big announcement of the government.)

Firstly, we searched for media reports on the same but did not find anything credible to support the claim.

We checked the official website of CBSE but did not find any notification regarding the same. We only found a press release about the tentative time frames for the upcoming board examination for classes 10th and 12th.

We also checked the website and social media accounts of the Ministry of Education but did not find any such notice.

We found a report by Akashwani News stating that the viral message passing percentage changing is false.

Moreover, we also found a tweet by PIB stating that the viral news is fake.

Hence, from the above information, it is clear that the viral news is fake.
