A picture of a mosque on a railway platform is being circulated on social media with a claim that it from the old Delhi railway station.
“ये मस्जिद पुरानी दिल्ली रेलवे स्टेशन के प्लेटफॉर्म पर है, किसी मे हिम्मत है इसको कब तुड़वा रहे हो या सिर्फ हनुमान मंदिर ही रास्ते का रोड़ा था तुम्हारे।” the Facebook caption read.
(Translation: This mosque is on the platform of Old Delhi Railway Station. Does anyone have the courage to break it or was it just Hanuman Temple that was on the road?)

NewsMobile fact-checked the post and found the claim to be false.
We put the picture through a Reverse Image Search and found a tweet from 2019 featuring the same picture.
“There is a mosque at Allahabad Railway Station Platform No. 1 even I also saw it when I visited Allahabad,” The tweet read.
We also found the same picture in a blog from 2013. “Masjid at Prayagraj Railway station’s Platform,” the picture was captioned.
Based on this, we ran a keyword search and found a 2018 YouTube video of the same location. “A large mosque in allahabad junction railway station on platform no. 1….Kya ye sahi hain,” the video was titled.
We also found the latest picture of the station on Getty Images, where the mosque and the station name board is also visible.

This proves that an old picture from Prayagraj is being shared with false and misleading claims.
