Even as the United States(US) is coming to terms with pro-Donald Trump supporters disrupting the daily affairs of Capitol Hill in Washington, the incumbent President’s daughter Ivanka trump has been critisized for posting a tweet which calls the rioters who stormed Capitol Hill and ransacked the premises on Wednesday as ‘American loyalists’. Rioters barged into Capitol Hill when the Congress was meeting to certify President-elect Joe Biden’s election win.
The tweet by Trump’s eldest daughter and her father’s adviser was a in a bid to urge protesters from refraining from violence. The tweet was later deleted and Ivanka has not put out another tweet since then.
“American patriots – any security breach or disrespect to our law enforcement is unacceptable. The violence must stop immediately. Please be peaceful.” Said Ivanka Trump in her tweet. Ivanka also reposted her father’s tweet which read, “Please support our Capitol Police and Law Enforcement. They are truly on the side of our Country. Stay peaceful!”
Even as the tweet was deleted, screenshots were taken within the short span of time. Those who have critisized Ivanka has questioned why she did not urge protestors to give up their siege of Capitol Hill is the seat of the US government, which houses the US Supreme Court, home to the domed United States Capitol, Senate, Houses of Representatives.

4 people died in the violence and 52 persons have been arrested while curfew was imposed from 6:00pm on Wednesday to 6:00am on Thursday.
