COVID-19 LIVE Updates | With 36,652 new cases, India’s tally reaches 96.08 lakh

With 36,652 new COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours, India’s total cases rose to 96,08,211, while the toll mounted to 1,39,700 with 512 new deaths.

Currently, the total active cases at stand 4,09,689, and the total discharged cases at 90,58,822 with 42,533 new discharges in the last 24 hours.

On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the all-party meeting to address the coronavirus and vaccination status in the country. After the meet, PM Modi in his closing remarks made it clear that COVID vaccine may be out in the country within a few weeks.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also informed that the Centre is in talks with State governments over the price of vaccine and decision regarding it will be taken keeping public health as topmost priority.
