Bengaluru airport to city in 10 minutes, Hyperloop may be a game changer

In a big announcement, Virgin Hyperloop has proposed to bring down the duration of commuting from central Bengaluru to the Kempegowda International Airport to just ten minutes. Virgin Hyperloop, which is a leading player in hyperloop technology, and Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), have signed a  Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to carry out a feasibility study for a hyperloop corridor that has been proposed.

The focus of the pre-feasibility study will be on economic, technical, and route feasibility. The study is expected to be completed in two phases of six months each.

“With speeds of up to 1,080 kmph, hyperloop could transport thousands of passengers per hour from BLR Airport to the city centre in under 10 minutes, according to the preliminary analysis,” Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) said in a statement.

The Bangalore airport is all set to be connected with the suburban railway in a few weeks and there are plans to provide metro connectivity in four years.

These developments will provide a hassle-free commute to the people arriving or departing from the Bangalore Airport.
