In a bizarre incident, a Delhi man bit off his juniour colleague’s finger after a work-related argument. The incident reportedly took place in Mayur Vihar on Thursday. The accused has been identified as Hemant Siddharth. He used to work with an insurance company.
As per reports, Hemant met his junior colleague Mohit Kumar at Akshardham on Thursday, from where they travelled to Karol Bagh. Later, the duo headed towards Mayur Vihar to purchase liquor.
While they were having a drink, they got into a heated work related argument inside the car. In a fit of rage, Hemant bit off Kumar’s index finger.

Profusely bleeding, Mohit informed the police. He was rushed to a hospital where he had to undergo surgery to get his finger reattached to his hand. An FIR has been registered in connection with the case.
A similar incident had occurred in Mumbai last year when a commuter had bit off a fellow passenger’s finger after an argument regarding sitting space. The incident had taken place in the first-class compartment of an Asangaon train.
