Home Minister Amit Shah has been admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMs) in New Delhi. He was hospitalized on Monday night just days after he tested negative for COVID-19.

Shah who had been admitted to Medanta Hospital in in Gurugram after testing positive for COVID-19, is currently under observation at AIIMS.  He was on home isolation after his recent release from hospital.

Led by AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria, Shah is being monitored by a team of doctors.

AIIMS issued a medical bulletin and said Shah had been complaining of fatigue and body aches for the past 3-4 days. “He is comfortable and continuing his work from hospital,” AIIMS said in its statement.

55-year-old Shah was taken to AIIMS at around 2 am and admitted to a private ward. Shah has also tested negative for COVID-19, AIIMS said.
