Ayodhya bhoomi pujan | From Kejriwal to Mayawati – Politicians unite to welcome Ram Mandir

Several politicians on Wednesday congratulated people of the country as Prime Minister Modi headed to Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya to take part in the bhoomi poojan for the construction of the Ram temple.

Leaders cutting across party lines have welcomed the Ram Mandir bhumi pujan and hoped that the Ram Mandir will bring prosperity, unity, brotherhood and cultural harmony.

Union home minister Shah, who has contracted the coronavirus disease (Covid-19), had simply tweeted a digital photograph of the proposed Ram temple.

Defence minister Rajnath Singh posted a few lines from the epic poem Ramcharitmanas, written by Tulsidas, and retweeted photographs of the temple town by the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra.

”Original document of the Constitution of India has a beautiful sketch of Lord Ram, Mata Sita and Laxman returning to Ayodhya after defeating Ravan. This is available at the beginning of the chapter related to Fundamental Rights. Felt like sharing this with you all,” the law minister said.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today shared a photo of her rangoli with ‘Shri Ram Jayam’ written in Sanskrit. “In many homes, a rangoli/kolam is made afresh each day with rice powder. This, today, in the little temple at my place,” Sitharaman tweeted.

Union minister Smriti Irani tweeted a bhajan or a devotional song sung by a little girl, Sooryagayathri.

”Jai Mahadev Jai Siya-Ram, Jai Radeh-Krishna, Jai Hanuman. Let all be filled with Lord Shiva’s welfare, Shri Ram’s ‘abhayatva’ (fearlessness) and Shir Krishna’s ‘unmukt bhav’ (unfettered gesture). I hope the present and future generations with true heart will follow ‘maryada’ (dignity) of Lord Ram for welfare and peace of all according to the path showed by Him”, says, Akhilesh Yadav, former CM of UP.

In a tweet, Rahul Gandhi wrote in Hindi, ”Lord Ram is the manifestation of the best human qualities. They are the core of humanity in the depths of our mind.”

”Ram is love. It can never appear in disgust; Ram is compassion. It can never appear cruel; Ram is justice. It can never appear in injustice,” Rahul Gandhi wrote on Twitter.
