Amar Singh, politician and Rajya Sabha member has passed away at a Singapore hospital where he was being treated for the last few months. Singh, 64, had been ailing for a long time and had suffered kidney failure in 2013.

Just a few hours before this death he had tweeted a tribute to freedom fighter and educationist Bal Gangadhar Tilak on his death anniversary and also wished Eid Al Adha to all his followers. He has been active on Twitter during his stay in hospital posting messages and short videos off and on.
