As the ruling BJP gets ready to celebrate the first anniversary of abrogation of Article 370 which led to the bifurcation of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir and creation of Union Territoires of Ladakh and J&K, rogue state Pakistan is working overtime to finalise its August 5 ‘Insult India’ strategy to target India aimed at peddling a fake narrative of human rights violations in the valley.
And leading the plan from the front is Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan who is likely to travel to Muzzafarabad in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) to trigger anti-India sentiment over annulment of Article 370. Khan has entrusted the ISI to draw up a 18-plan road-map on ways to humiliate India on the global stage for abrogation of Article 370.
Prior to Khan’s rally, which would be beamed live on all TV networks in Pakistan, a field trip for foreign journalists to PoK has also been planned to show that all is well. However, as in the past, ISI funded terror training camps aimed at promoting attacks against India, would be kept out of bounds for the journalists.
Taken aback by India’s move of abrogation of Article 370, Imran Khan had not only launched a series of attacks on India on Twitter but also on focused his speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) last September on Kashmir and warned of a “blood bath” in Kashmir when restrictions were lifted by the Indian government and even prophesied a genocide on the streets of the valley. Khan also kept referring to Pakistan’s nuclear capabilities to warn India of dire consequences.
To corner India on a global stage, Imran Khan government has even reached out to China, Turkey and Malaysia urging them to issue statements or tweet echoing Paksitan’s view point on August 5 on Jammu and Kashmir’s new status. Television channels in Paksiatn have been asked to telecast special programmes condemning India’s decision and even blacken their logos to solidarity with the cause. Pamphlets and newspaper supplements have also been planned as a part of ‘Insult India’ blitzkrieg.

To observe August 5 as a ‘Black Day’, Khan has also urged the Foreign Ministry to work in tandem with ISI to bolster its diplomatic outreach to Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member nations and international human rights groups besides hosting events or planning rallies at missions abroad. Khan government also plans to honour separatists critical of India.
Pakistan also plans to draft a fresh memorandum and hand it over to the Islamabad head quarters of UN Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan.
