A message is being circulated on social media claiming the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting will be filing FIRs against fake journalists.
We noticed that this information was picked up by many online portals and later on, the article was being shared as a WhatsApp forward.
NewsMobile fact-checked the post and found it to be false.
We checked the official website and social media handles and did not find any announcement regarding this.
Moreover, the Press Bureau of Information, in a tweet, clarified that the news is fake.
