It has been reported that India too has withdrawn some of its troops.

This initiative will be followed up with further local commanders’ level talks which will be held later this week.

The two countries after weeks of intense clashes around the Western Sector (around the Pangong Lake) decided to engage in a dialogue at the military and diplomatic levels.

It was only on Saturday that the two local military commanders met and held a dialogue, a day after the Foreign Office consultations were held.
