Amid the growing tension between the Indian and Chinese troops along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), a video is doing the rounds on social media which seemingly looks like a dispute between Indian and Chinese soldiers. It is being claimed that China is provoking India to start a war.
The caption of the video read: ‘चीन भारत को युद्ध के लिए उकसा रहा है। लद्दाख बॉर्डर पर तनाव शुरू।
सभी राष्ट्रवादी भाइयों से आग्रह चीनी सामानों का बहिष्कार अभी तुरंत से शुरू करें ।’.
(Translation: China is provoking India for a war. Tension started at Ladakh border.
Request to all nationalist brothers to boycott Chinese goods immediately.)

NewsMobile fact-checked the above video and found that the claim attached to it is FAKE.
We began our investigation by putting the video through InVid tool and then putting the extracted keyframes through Reverse Image Search. The results led us to an extended version of the same video uploaded on the Dailymotion website on May 2, 2015.
The title of the video read, ‘Full Border Fight! Indian and Chinese Soldiers Faceoff in Arunachal Pradesh’.
We found that the same video was uploaded multiple times in 2015-2016 on the same platform with different titles.
NewsMobile could not independently verify the origin of the video. But, the above information establishes the fact that the video in question is old as it was already in circulation on the internet much before the recent tensions between Indian and Chinese troops along the LAC, escalated.
