The Ministry of External Affairs on Saturday said that two of its employees have tested positive for Covid-19 and all the employees who were in touch with the duo have been asked to self quarantine for a period of 14 days.
As per information available, one of those tested positive worked as a consultant in the ministry’s Central Europe division in New Delhi while the other worked as a legal officer in the law division.

As per information available, one of those affected is working in the L&T division and another is a jawan belonging to the CISF who was posted at the main gate.
The Ministry has said that it has been proactive in dealing with the cases of its employees and those to whom it has outsourced work, in accordance with the health protocol, established by the government.
Earlier in the month, two other employees had tested positive. One of the employees was a Personal Private Secretary to the Joint Secretary (West Asia and North Africa) and another employee was an outsourced employee working in the Southern Division. A CISF jawan posted at the main gate had also been reported to have tested positive for Covid-19.
