In times of COVID-19, Delhi Police holds first ever virtual farewell

The Delhi Police’s Licensing Unit hosted its first virtual farewell for two of its officers who were transferred. This farewell was attended by Commissioner of Police SN Shrivastava. This was done to avoid gathering of personnel and to maintain social distancing, especially during COVID-19.

The two officers who were transferred and in whose honour the farewell was held are Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Virendra Kadyan and Inspector Khushal Singh.

Apart from the Commissioner of Police, only six other officers were present in the conference room at the new Police Head Quarters. Other officers of the licensing unit bid farewell to their colleagues digitally from either their homes or work stations.

Those present were given ‘Kashayam’, an ayurvedic immunity booster. No other snacks and drinks were provided.

The Commissioner of Police emphasized the importance of technology in the day to day life of policemen and encouraged them to take up to reach out to a larger audience, especially during the ongoing pandemic.
