Fact Check: Did cricketer Yasir Shah die in the recent Karachi Plane crash? Here’s the truth

After the crash of the ill-fated PIA A320 plane in Karachi on May 22, 2020, claims started doing the rounds on internet that Pakistani test cricketer, Yasir Shah, lost his life in the crash.

NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found the claim to be false.

We checked Pakistani media reports but did not find any reports that confirmed these speculations.

However, we found the list of passengers travelling on that plane , and Shah’s name was not present on the list.

We also checked the official social media accounts of the cricketer and found that his last tweet was May 24, 2020, where he shared his greetings for Eid.

“Wishing you all a joyous Eid. May Allah bless everyone with abundance of joy, love and good health. Eid Mubarak! Crescent moon, ” he tweeted.

The above information proves that the news about his demise is False.
