The 34-member expert committee consists of officials from the Department of Public Instructions, school teachers, academicians, and other educational experts. They will be submitting their report to the state government by May 30.

Till date, it is learnt, that this committee is considering that due to the existing lockdown measures, schools should be prepared to lose at least 2-3 months in the academic calendar.

Schools may be asked to identify syllabus that could be overlooked and syllabus that is absolutely critical for the students.

Schools may be asked to operate and teach their students in shifts and may operate the odd-even scheme.

In the odd-even scheme, different classes may be taught on alternate days and this is expected to reduce the number of students as well as their exposure. For instance, Classes 1,3,5,7,9,11 could operate on odd days and Classes 2,4,6,8,10,12 could operate on even days.
