Vizag Gas Leak: Mere lip service won’t do, says NM Editor-in-Chief Saurabh Shukla

Date:

Expressing horror at the visuals emerging out of the Vishakhapatnam gas leak, NewsMobile’s Editor-in-Chief Saurabh Shukla slammed the Y.S Jaganmohan Reddy government and said that mere lip-service will not do.

Eleven people have died and 20 critical after a chemical gas leaked at LG Polymers industry in RR Venkatapuram village in Andhra’s Vishakapatnam on Thursday.

”Mere lip service will not do. Every Indian life is precious…You need to make an example out of this,” Shukla said to Y.S Jaganmohan Reddy’s Advisor while participating in a televised debate on Republic TV.

Stating that “humans lives cannot be equated by giving jobs or by giving compensation”, Shukla said, “This is a new India.’This is not an India where Warren Anderson got away. It is horrific that at a time of misery of COVID-19, this kind of incident has happened.”

“You need to make your officials accountable. Heads should have rolled by now. What are you waiting for? You should have put out a Look Out Notice for their directors,” the NewsMobile Editor-in-Chief told AP Chief Minister’s Advisor.
