+ After Goa, Manipur is now coronavirus-free!

This announcement comes after the second patient being treated for the virus tested negative. The 65-year-old patient is suspected to have contacted the virus after attending the Tablighi Jamaat event in New Delhi in March.

+ Duty over family- UP CM Yogi Adityanath leads by example as he said that he will not attend his father’s last rites on Tuesday so to abide by the nationwide lockdown.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s father Anand Singh Bisht passed away at AIIMS in the national capital on Monday.

Respecting the nationwide lockdown, UP CM Adityanath said that he will not take part in the last rites of his father tomorrow, to ensure enforcement of lockdown and to defeat coronavirus pandemic in the state.

+ The number of districts where no case has been reported in last 14 days has increased to 59.

+ As per Ministry of Health, India’s doubling rate before the lockdown was 3.4 days, it has now improved to 7.5 days. As per data on April 19, in 18 states, the rate is better than the national average.
