Visa, e-visa of foreigners stranded due to COVID-19 lockdown extended till May 3

Date:

The government on Friday extended the grant of consular services to foreign nationals, presently residing in India due to COVID-19 lockdown, till May 3, 2020.

Earlier on March 28, the Union Ministry for Home Affairs (MHA) had granted consular services on gratis basis to foreign nationals till April 30, 2020.

Exit to such foreign nationals, if so requested by them during this period, will also be granted to them up to 14 days beyond May 3, 2020, that is may 17 without levy of overstay penalty.
