The total number of positive coronavirus cases in India rose to 9,152 on Monday, including 980 who have recovered and 324 who have succumbed to the virus.

– The Supreme Court today modified its April 8 order in which it had directed free testing for coronavirus in all government and private labs. Today, it stated that the benefit of free testing in private labs is only for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and for those covered by Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) scheme.
– The apex court also dismissed a plea challenging the creation of PM CARES fund, calling it as ‘mischievous’.
