Following confirmation of multiple coronavirus positive cases in Gurugram, the district administration has decided to seal nine localities by identifying them as Containment Zones. This follows similar action in Delhi and Noida.
How long will this containment zones be in operation? “It will be a dynamic process and it will be reviewed from time to time, all essential services will be provided and details will be released,” Amit Khatri, DC, Gurgaon told NewsMobile.
The areas and localities that have been sealed in Gurugram include Sector-9, Sector-54/Nirvana Country, Palam VIhar, Emar Palm Gardens in Sector 83, Laburnum Society, Sector 39, Village Fazilpur Jharsa, Ward Number 11 in Pataudi and Village Raipur in Sohna.
As per authorities, the movement of public in containment zones will be completely restricted and the entire containment zone will be sealed by deploying police force and setting up of barricades.

The Civil Surgeon office will deploy teams to conduct door-to-door screening and thermal scanning of all people living in these containment zones. These teams will also sanitize gates and door knobs of all households in these hotspots. Directions have been issued to provide these teams with personal protective equipment and devices required for screening and thermal scanning.
Further, all the areas under the containment zones will be fully sanitized by the Gurugram Municipal Corporation. Instructions have been passed to provide personal protective equipment like face masks, gloves, caps, sanitizers, and shoes to the teams that will carry out this sanitization exercise.
