IAS officer Sukhdeo Singh took charge as new Chief Secretary of Jharkhand on Wednesday, 1 April.
A 1987 batch IAS officer, Singh has joined the Jharkhand Ministry as the 23rd Chief Secretary of the state. He has replaced DK Tewary, a 1986 batch IAS officer who retired on March 31.

Earlier, Singh was a Development Commissioner and held an additional charge of Home Department.
