FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post and found the claim to be false.

We checked the social media account of the actor and found a tweet dated March 25, 2020. In the tweet, Deol announced that he was donating Rs 50 lakhs from his MP fund to fight against COVID-19 in his constituency.

(Translation – “In order to safeguard ourselves from an epidemic like Corona and to ensure that the health department in Gurdaspur does not face any problem, I release a fund of Rs 50,00,000 from my MP fund so that our Gurdaspur does not face any problem in dealing with this epidemic.”)

Hence, the above information proves that the news about Sunny Deol donating Rs 100 crore is FAKE.
