China has reported a drop in the number of imported cases of COVID-19 and zero fresh transmission cases on Wednesday. This development came even as the World Health Organization (WHO) warned that the epicentre of the virus is shifting towards the US.
The US has reported over 55,000 positive cases and over 650 deaths.
This drop in the number of imported cases in the US can be attributed to the severe travel restrictions placed on flights operating internationally.

The Beijing International Airport is diverting all flights destined towards the capital and ensuring all passengers are properly checked and quarantined.
It is the financial capital Shanghai that has reported 19 fresh imported cases. The total number of fresh cases as of Wednesday stands at 47 as opposed to 78 a day earlier.
The epicentre of the virus, Wuhan which has been in a state of lockdown since January 23 has reported zero fresh and imported cases. ‘
They are all set to reopen on April 8.
In a worrying development, the World Health Organization (WHO) warned of the epicentre of the virus shifting westwards from Italy to the US.
