Gumi has been the epicentre of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in South Korea, even as the nation is battling to mitigate the damages of this virus.

The move to Vietnam has been described as a temporary facility as the company explained that it wanted to continue providing the best of facilities to its consumers.

The company hopes to fully use its facility in South Korea, once the situation improves.

Samsung has in recent times shifted almost 50% of its manufacturing facility to Vietnam from South Korea.
