Amid the violence in the national capital for the last two days, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday urged the people of Delhi to maintain calm and brotherhood.

PM Modi took it to Twitter urging people to restore normalcy after he reviewed the current situation.

“Had an extensive review on the situation prevailing in various parts of Delhi. Police and other agencies are working on the ground to ensure peace and normalcy,” PM Modi tweeted.

PM Modi also said that peace and harmony are central to the ethos. The Prime Minister’s appeals come as the death toll in Delhi violence has gone up to 20.

“Peace and harmony are central to our ethos. I appeal to my sisters and brothers of Delhi to maintain peace and brotherhood at all times. It is important that there is calm and normalcy is restored at the earliest,” he said in another tweet.
