The newly built Ahmedabad’s Motera Stadium is all set to welcome the US President Donald Trump who will be on his first visit to India on February 24-25 at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In the mega event called ‘Namaste Trump’, both President Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing a large gathering.
Motera Stadium is touted as the world’s largest cricket stadium. Gujarat also has the world’s tallest statue called ‘Statue of Unity’ of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

- The Motera stadium has a seating capacity of 1.1 lakh people.
- With its official inauguration, Moetra stadium will be the world’s largest cricket stadium. Presently, Australia’s Melbourne Cricket Ground has this tag.
- It has been constructed at a cost of Rs 700 crores
- 75 corporate boxes are built in the stadium
- For the first time, LED lights are installed in a stadium, which will save electricity.
- In the stadium, more than four thousand cars and more than 10 thousand two-wheelers have been provided for parking.
- Motera stadium rechristened as Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium.
- It also has three practice grounds, a clubhouse, a large swimming pool and an indoor cricket academy.
