In a video that has gone viral on social media, US President Donald Trump is heard saying that he looks forward to his visit to India and that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a good friend and a gentleman. He also said that he looks forward to meeting him.
The President was also heard joking about the huge population in India, though in a light hearted manner, and said that he will be inaugurating a new stadium in Ahmedabad.
Separately, the White House had announced on Tuesday that the President will be visiting Gujarat during his State visit to India.

On Wednesday, PM Modi also tweeted saying that he looks forward to the visit of President Donald Trump and his wife, Melania Trump to India. He said that India will accord a warm welcome and this visit will go a long way in further cementing the ties between India and the US.
He also stated that India and the US share a common commitment towards democracy and pluralism. He also stated that a robust relations between them is not only good for both the nations but the entire world.
The US President will be visiting India on February 24 and 25, 2020.
