Former Arunachal Pradesh CM, Kalikho Pul’s son found dead in UK

Former Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Kalikho Pul’s son Shubanso Pul was found dead under suspicious circumstances, at a city apartment in Brighton, United Kingdom, on Tuesday. He was Pul’s son by his first wife Dangwimsai Pul. Shubanso Pul, and had taken admission in the University of Sussex just six months ago.
His father, Kalikho Pul had himself committed suicide in 2016.

The Pul family is trying to get in touch with the Indian High Commission in the United Kingdom, so that his body can be brought back home.

Kalikho Pul had committed suicide by hanging himself. This came less than a month after the Supreme Court of India ruled against his appointment as chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh with the support of some Congress MLAs and the Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party.

His diary, a 60-page document called ‘My Thoughts’, came into the public domain in February 2017 and contained explosive allegations of corruption in the Apex Court. In the document, Pul claimed that he had received phone calls asking for Rs 86 crore for a judgement in his favour. “But my conscience did not permit this,” he wrote. The politician named then Chief Justice of India JS Khehar’s youngest son, and the younger brother Justice Dipak Misra, who succeeded Khehar, in the diary.

Now, his son, 20-year-old Shubanso, was also found dead.

Pul’s third wife Dasanglu Pul won from the Hayuliang seat on a BJP ticket, after her husban’d death. She won the seat comfortably and is the present legislator from the seat.
