Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday addressed a gathering outside the AAP party headquarters after having secured a massive win in the Delhi Legislative Assembly elections and said that “people of Delhi you have done wonders, I love you”.
Thanking the people of Delhi for considering and voting their son into power for the third time, he said: “this is the victory of the people who consider me as their son and voted for us”.
He also said that this is the beginning of a new era in politics and a new sign. This comes at a time when analysts have pointed towards the victory of developmental politics.
Recalling his visit to the Hanuman Temple in Connaught place on the day before polling, he said: “this is the day of Lord Hanuman who has blessed the people of Delhi. We pray that Hanuman Ji keeps showing the right path to us so that we continue to serve the people for the next few years.”
He is expected to hold a road rally soon to thank the voters who have given a resounding victory to the AAP party.
The AAP appears to have won over 60 out of the 70 seats in the Delhi Legislative Assembly elections. The final results are awaited.
