Fact Check: Video of fruit cart being demolished is NOT from UP

A video in which a fruit cart can be seen being demolished is doing rounds on social media with the claim that it is from Uttar Pradesh.

“गरीबी मुक्त भारत बनाने की तैयारी।
उत्तर प्रदेश से शुरू।” the caption read.

At the time of filing the report, the above post had more than 50,000 shares.


FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above video and found that it is from Bhuvneshwar.

We extracted the keyframes of the video using the InVid tool and put them through Reverse Image Search. On the Russian search engine, Yandex, we found a link to a YouTube video uploaded by OTV.

On carefully examining the video, we noticed that in the viral video, the same supervisor can be spotted. Moreover, some of the people present there, can be seen in both the video.

Kanak News also posted a video of a reaction video of people after the incident took place.

The above information proves that the video is not from Uttar Pradesh.
