Jammu & Kashmir: Mobile internet services restored

The mobile internet services on Sunday which were suspended earlier have been restored in Kashmir.

The authorities suspended mobile internet services in the valley as a precautionary measure to prevent any law-and-order situation keeping in view the death anniversary of convict Mohammad Afzal Guru.

Afzal Guru was hanged in 2013 inside Delhi’s Tihar Jail for being involved in the Parliament attack in December 2001.

The authorities had restored 2G internet services in Kashmir on January 25, more than five months after suspending all communication services in the valley because of the abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution on August 5 last year.
