FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found the news to be Fake.

We ran a search on Google and did not find any reliable news report to support the claim. We also looked for the News Express but the link has now expired.

We then put the picture through Reverse Image Search and found that this picture was taken in 2018 during the inauguration of the Signature bridge.

Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari argues with the police during a scuffle with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers at the inauguration of the Signature Bridge over Yamuna river, in New Delhi on 4 November, 2018. (Photo: IANS)” the caption read.

We also found a 2017 report by Asian Age stating that Monoj Tiwari was attacked by unidentified men with stones and a piece of a wooden rod at a public meeting in the Jhanda Chowk area of Bawana.

However, the report of people from Jaat community beating him with shoes is not present anywhere and hence we can conclude that the viral claim is false.
