US President Donald Trump addressing the 50th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum’s Davos Summit on Tuesday said that he and Chinese President XI Jinping love each other and are looking forward to negotiating the second phase of the Sino-US trade deal.
Before his speech, he tweeted saying that he was in Davos to bring back the thousands of dollars that had been stashed abroad to the US.
Here are the key highlights of his speech,
1. America is winning like never before and is experiencing an economic boom like never before. He highlighted the recently concluded trade deals with China and the amended NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) with Canada and Mexico.

2. The American economy is inclusive. The unemployment rates are the lowest in 50 years. The minorities have benefitted the most from this boom and women for the first time are more in number than men in the employment market.
3. Blasting the FED rates, he said that they were quick to raise the rates, but slow to reduce them. He said that the good growth rates are despite the US FED rates.
4. He asked the global community to free the world from the clutches of bureaucracy, saying they were the single largest stumbling block in terms of economic growth and job creation.
5. President Xi and I love each other, despite the differences and we look forward to negotiating the Phase 2 of the deal.
6. Britain is desperate to conclude a deal with the US.
7. He has agreed to participate in the WEF’s ecological initiatives after pulling out of the Paris deal.
8. The US will always be a bastion of freedom.
