FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above posts and found the claim to be fake.

We checked the number on Truecaller and found that the number belonged to BJP.

We ran a search and found that the number was launched by BJP on January 3, 2020, asking people to “give a missed call on 88662 88662 to pledge your support to the Citizenship Amendment Act – 2019.”

To extend your support for the historic Citizenship Amendment Act-2019 brought in by PM @NarendraModi’s government, to ensure justice to the religiously persecuted minorities from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan, kindly give a missed call on 88662-88662. #IndiaSupportsCAA, ” Amit Shah’s tweet read.

Netflix India also put out a tweet clearing the air around the matter.

“This is absolutely fake. If you want free Netflix please use someone else’s account like the rest of us, ” the official account of Netflix India tweeted.

The above information proves that the CAA support number is being used with FALSE narratives to lure people.
