This comes amid tensions between the US and Iran after fresh airstrikes by the US targetted Iraqi militia convoy took place in the north of Baghdad on Saturday early morning, wherein six people were killed and three were critically wounded.
On Friday, a US airstrike outside the Baghdad airport killed Iranian commander Qasem Soleimani.
The Iraqi military in a statement said that several rockets fell inside Baghdad’s heavily fortified Green Zone, its Jadriya neighbourhood, and the Balad airbase housing US troops, adding that there were no casualties.
