Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday shared his motto for young scientists – innovate, patent, produce, prosper – in this country, adding that, these four steps will lead our country towards faster development.

PM Modi was speaking at the inauguration of the 107th Indian Science Congress at Gandhi Krishi Vignana Kendra Campus, University of Agricultural Sciences, in Bengaluru.
PM Modi also expressed his happiness over the improved ranking of India in the Innovation Index to 52.
“I am happy to learn that India’s ranking has improved in the Innovation Index to 52. Our programs have created more technology business incubators in the last five years than in the previous 50 years. I congratulate our scientists for these accomplishments,” he said.

PM Modi further stated: “Our successes in space exploration should now be mirrored in the new frontier of the deep sea. We need to explore, map and responsibly harness the vast oceanic resources of water, energy, food and minerals.”

PM Modi arrived on Thursday for a two-day state visit and attended a series of events in Tumakuru city. He also visited the Sree Siddaganga Mutt where he defended the Citizenship (Amendment) Act which has sparked nationwide protests.
