Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Wednesday alleged that it is unfortunate that Union Minister Harsh Vardhan has written a letter to LG, asking cancellation of the PTM which is scheduled to be held on January 4 in all state-run schools.
“Harsh Vardhan ji has written a letter to Delhi LG asking them to cancel the #PTM to be held in Delhi’s government schools on January 4, which is very unfortunate. Bharatiya Janata Party means the enemy party of education,” Sisodia, also Education Minister in Delhi government, said while addressing a press conference on Wednesday.

Rejecting all the allegations, Vardhan clarified that the Delhi government teachers association met him on Tuesday, and handed him a copy of representation that they wrote for the LG, asking for the cancellation of the PTM scheduled for January 4 citing cold weather in the national capital.
Vardhan further said that he only forwarded the copy of the representation to the LG. “It is my responsibility to take people’s problems to the right place,” he said.

Reacting to the matter, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal asked why these (referring to Vardhan) people want to cancel the PTM.
Kejriwal tweeted: “Why do these people want to cancel PTM? In PTM, parents get an opportunity to discuss their children’s progress with teachers. Many parents eagerly wait for PTM. PTM will be on time. I will also go to one school tomorrow to get parents’ feedback.”
Vardhan reacted to Kejriwal’s tweet, saying stop treating parents as political votebank and innocent school children as props to garner votes.
.@ArvindKejriwal ji STOP treating parents as political votebank & innocent school children as props to garner votes
How can PTM meetings be used for pressurising parents to vote for @AamAadmiParty ?
Don’t stoop to such levels. Maintain the dignity of your chair atleast@BJP4Delhi https://t.co/ZeD1EYxcX6— Dr Harsh Vardhan (@drharshvardhan) January 2, 2020
