Lexus India announces Masakazu Yoshimura as its chairman with effect from January 1, 2020.
Yoshimura has been associated with Toyota Motor Corporation since 1990 and has an experience of 30 years in the automobile sector spanning across diverse areas covering product planning, pricing, human resources, sales and marketing, the company said in a statement.
The company further said P B Venugopal will continue as the president of Lexus India.

Speaking on the appointment as the Chairman of Lexus India, Masakazu Yoshimura said, “Lexus is a luxury lifestyle brand offering unparalleled guest experience. As we begin our 3rd year of India operations, I’m sure we’ll continue to delight our guests in India.”
Lexus, which goes with the reputation of a luxury hybrid leader, having sold over a million hybrid vehicles globally, began its journey in 1989 and has, since then, expanded its line-up to meet the needs of luxury consumers around the world.
Toyota Group’s luxury vehicles arm is now going beyond its reputation for high quality vehicles with the integration of innovative technology, emotional exterior and interior designs, and engaging driving dynamics and performance.
