Amid massive protests in Northeast, Mukesh Agrawal, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) (law and order), Assam has been transferred and posted as ADGP (CID), Assam.
He has been replaced by ADGP GP Singh.
Singh had earlier served in the National Investigation Agency.
