WATCH: Deepika Padukone releases Chhapaak teaser; trailer out tomorrow

The teaser of Deepika Padukone starrer Chhapaak was dropped in on Monday which is based on the life of an acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal.

Padukone who is in the lead role of an acid attack survivor shared the teaser with a caption: “A moment is all it took…”

The 6-second teaser shows a splash of acid that spreads into the darkness with a loud sound. The makers will release the trailer of the film on Tuesday on the occasion of World Human Rights Day.

Directed by Meghna Gulzar, it also marks Deepika’s debut as a producer.

Meghna was quoted in a report saying that she was amazed how quickly Deepika imbibed the nuances of her character.

“Deepika is going to be a revelation in Chhapaak. It is a completely different side of Deepika which people will see. When I say that I don’t mean just the look or prosthetics, it’s also about going into the second level of the character – the body language, the gestures and the general energy,” Meghna was quoted by newswire PTI.

The film which also features Vikrant Massey, set to release on January 10.
