Every action you take will affect lakhs of lives: PM Modi tells IAS trainees

While addressing IAS trainees, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday told them every action you take will affect lakhs of lives.

“This isn’t just a job or a career option for you. Service should be your prime objective. Every action you take, every signature you make will affect lakhs of lives,” PM Modi said addressing the trainees at the Statue of Unity in Gujarat’s Kevadia.

PM Modi also suggested them to deal with one problem at one time. “I suggest you to deal with one big problem of your area of posting at one time and try to solve it completely – this means ‘One district, one problem and total solution,” he said.

Talking about Sardar Patel, he said: “Sardar Patel had shown that to bring a significant change in the life of common man, there should always be the presence of a strong willpower.”

“Your decision must help and fulfil the needs of the man standing on the last step of the society, as guided by Gandhi Ji. Your decision must strengthen the unity and integrity of the country,” he further said.

Earlier, PM Modi paid tributes to Sardar Patel on his 144th birth anniversary at the Statue of Unity.
