FACT CHECK

When NewsMobile fact-checked the picture, we found it to be photoshopped.

We checked the social media account of Swara Bhasker and found the original image. Her tweet dated Oct 5, 2019, featuring the original image, talked about the Aarey Forest destruction.

“AAREY=OXYGEN + No Flooding in rains Mumbai needs metro shed but there are alternative spaces #AAREYFOREST #SAVEAAREY #SAVEITFOROURCHILDREN” the text on the original placard read.

On October 20, 2019, replying to a Twitter user, she put out a tweet saying that Kamlesh Tiwari Murder was shameful and bigotry & hate should not be tolerated. Along with that,  she also asked other users to join her in demanding justice for the murderers of #Tabrez #PehluKhan #Akhlaq.

The above information proves that even though she did tweet demanding justice for Kamlesh Tiwari, the photo that is going viral is FAKE and has been morphed using editing software.
