These are not Indian performers in this viral video; here’s the fact check

Date:

A video is doing rounds on social media in which a group of children can be seen dancing to a Hindu devotional song with the chant of Lord Ram.

The caption of the video read: “Magical performance to the tune of a bhajan sung by two tiny tots–pupils of the one and only
@kuldeepmpai.”

FACT CHECK

When NewsMobile Fact checked the above video, we found it to be doctored.

On processing the video through InVid, we extracted the keyframes of the video which we put through Reverse Image Search. We found the original video posted on the official YouTube channel of New China TV (Xinhua News) in November 2018.

The dance had been performed at the headquarters of the United Nations in New York. As can be seen in the video, there is no chant of Lord Ram in the background. The video clip shared on social media is edited.
