Odd-Even rule to return in Delhi from November 4-15

Date:

New Delhi: In a bid to curb rising pollution in the national capital, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced the implementation of odd-even rule from November 4th, 2019 to November 15th, 2019.

“Odd-Even vehicle scheme to be implemented from 4th to 15th November 2019,” Kejriwal said.

The move comes in a day after environment experts recommended the rationing and use of face masks as “short term measures” to fight pollution during the winter months when the air quality in Delhi dips to alarming levels.

Kejriwal had met environment and sustainability experts to formulate the winter air pollution action plan so that the city is prepared to tackle the pollution levels.

Delhi had earlier experimented with Odd-Even plan.
