New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind hosted a slew of dignitaries, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, to celebrate the 73rd Independence Day in the Rashtrapati Bhavan cultural centre on Thursday.
Besides PM Modi and Vice President Naidu, some senior bureaucrats, senior Ambassadors and selected media editors were also present in the event.

Heavy security blanket was seen across Rashtrapati Bhavan and the number of invitees was also reduced this year.
