India celebrates its 73rd Independence Day on August 15, 2019.
A day when each Indian holds his/her head high with pride. When patriotism makes our hearts swell with emotions. A day when we remember the sacrifice of our soldiers, freedom fighters and crores of people who were a part of the freedom struggle.
India stands proud today because of the strong foundation given to us by our forefathers. Over the years post our independence, many Indians have worked relentlessly to bring glory to us. They have worked for the upliftment of the weaker sections of the society, brought in processes and techniques to minimise the impact of development to the environment, made groundbreaking scientific innovations, forayed into newer business ventures and worked for the societal enhancement of the country as a whole. Today, we celebrate some of these names who have tirelessly worked in the background. The unsung heroes of India, who have quietly, without any media attention and celebrity status attached to them, toiled to make this country a better place.
